| Pennies for Peace Reaches its Goal! |

Here's the latest update! As
we mentioned before, The elementary school children of
the Fremont and Newark School Districts have been bringing their pennies
to school to donate to the Pennies for Peace Central Asian Institute fund
for building schools for children in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Some twenty-eight
Fremont Schools and eight Newark schools participated in the program.
3,584,800 pennies had been collected as of April 24, 2009. That amounts to $35,848
and more than achieves our goal of contributing enough pennies to build one school. Back to Welcome Page  |
